Nobody can be a leader with low-confidence. The low pressure, friendly environment that toastmasters provides gives you the opportunity to improve your confidence in front of an audience and become a leader.
The running of an average Toastmasters meeting involves all the skills of being a good leader and a Toastmaster meeting is a great place to practice those skills and improve your confidence.
Each role in a meeting is an opportunity to develop your confidence as a leader, from time management to facilitation skills.
Being a good listener is the first step toward being a good communicator and leader. If you listen well, you learn well and you lead well. Giving good feedback to others in your team is a skill and to learn it makes you a better leader. Managing your time effectively is a key leadership and management skill. It is a skill we practice at Toastmasters every meeting, in every role we do and every speech we make.
Do you know how to motivate and encourage people? You can learn this at Toastmasters. Become a mentor at Toastmasters Malta. Mentoring others is an excellent way to improve your confidence and develop leadership skills.
The Competent Leader manual has 10 sections covering all areas of good leadership and each time you take on a role at a Toastmaster meeting, you get an opportunity to practice at least one core skill.

Our friendly Toastmasters Malta club was formed in 2010 and has since helped many members improve their, communication, confidence and leadership skills. Officially registered as an educational voluntary organisation with Toastmasters International.
